What Is Warhammer Survivors?
Warhammer Survivors takes the fast, escalating formula popularized by survivor-like games and applies it to both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
Players choose a character, enter an arena, automatically attack approaching enemies, collect upgrades, evolve weapons, and try to survive increasingly dense waves.
The game is being developed by Auroch Digital in partnership with Warhammer and poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors.
More Than 40 Playable Characters
Warhammer Community says the full game will include more than 40 playable characters drawn from the two Warhammer universes.
Confirmed characters include names such as Malum Caedo from Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun and Neave Blacktalon from Age of Sigmar.
Each character has different starting statistics and weapons, giving the game a large amount of build variety before upgrades are even considered.
More Than 70 Weapons
The weapon pool includes recognizable Warhammer gear such as bolters, chainswords, axes, and other faction-specific equipment.
Auroch Digital says the full game will feature more than 70 weapons.
As in other survivor-likes, combining upgrades can transform basic weapons into much stronger late-run versions.
The New Demo Is Available Now
A refreshed demo is available on Steam and Xbox PC.
Warhammer Community says the new demo includes two playable heroes and incorporates feedback collected from the earlier public demo.
That makes it the easiest way to decide whether the game fits your preferred style before the November launch.
Game Pass at Launch
Warhammer Survivors will also be available through Game Pass from day one.
That gives subscribers another way to play without buying the US$7.99 standalone version.
Players who prefer permanent ownership can still buy the game separately on supported storefronts.
Why the Price Matters
At US$7.99, Warhammer Survivors is positioned closer to the lower-cost indie roguelite market than to a full-priced licensed release.
That could help the game reach players who are curious about Warhammer but do not usually buy the franchise's more expensive strategy or action games.
The broad platform lineup also means there is no major current platform being left out.
The Bottom Line
Warhammer Survivors launches November 10 for US$7.99 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, iOS, and Android.
Game Pass availability is confirmed for launch, and a new PC demo is already available.
For players who like survivor-likes and either side of the Warhammer universe, this is now one of November's more accessible new releases.
