The Pokémon Company has announced a new Pokémon Legends: Z-A package for Nintendo Switch 2 that combines the enhanced base game and Mega Dimension DLC in a single physical release.
The Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle is scheduled for October 29, 2026. The official game site says both the Switch 2 Edition and the Mega Dimension expansion are included on one game card, so buyers of the bundle do not need to purchase the DLC separately.
Mega Dimension adds extra story content to the Lumiose City adventure. Players need to complete the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A before they can progress through the expansion's story.
Nintendo says the Switch 2 Edition benefits from improved performance, enhanced resolution and smoother frame rates when played on Switch 2 hardware. The same game card can also be used on the original Nintendo Switch, but the Switch 2-specific enhancements are not available there.
A physical purchase bonus includes a serial code for 100 Ultra Balls. The code can be redeemed once per save data file, requires an internet connection and Nintendo Account, and does not require a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
Players who already own the Switch 2 Edition do not need to buy the full bundle just to access the expansion; the Mega Dimension DLC can be purchased separately. Buyers should compare their existing ownership before choosing the new package.
