A motherboard is easy to overlook until the ports you need are missing. The MSI PRO B850-P WIFI is an ATX board for AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 desktop processors on socket AM5. MSI lists four DDR5 slots, Wi-Fi 7, 5Gb Ethernet, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and three M.2 storage connections.
Picture a build with one SSD for Windows, another for games and a third for project files. Three M.2 positions give that layout room without filling every SATA port. If your home network has multi-gig Ethernet, the 5Gb port may also help the wired connection; with a standard 1Gb router, it will not make the internet plan faster.
The review caveat matters
TechSpot’s B850 motherboard roundup tested this exact MSI board and described its power delivery as a weak point for the price in that review. The roundup also found competitors with stronger feature value. That is a reason to compare boards, not proof the MSI board cannot run a supported CPU. Local Shopee pricing and competing models may differ from the roundup’s US price context.
Why consider it? It may fit a Ryzen build where ATX expansion, Wi-Fi 7, 5Gb LAN and several M.2 drives are more useful than paying extra for enthusiast overclocking features. Before checkout, compare the exact CPU support list, BIOS version, case size and memory QVL. If you plan a high-end CPU under sustained heavy workloads, compare independent board testing and alternatives before choosing.
