Minecraft Dungeons II Is Out Now on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2
Minecraft Dungeons II is available on Switch and Switch 2, bringing the new Sift dimension, tougher enemies, expanded gear systems, and solo or four-player co-op.
By ByteSized tech
Minecraft Dungeons II is now available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
The action-RPG sequel expands the original Minecraft Dungeons formula with a new dimension called The Sift, new enemies, more gear, and deeper build customization.
Enter the Sift
The biggest new location is The Sift, a previously unexplored dimension filled with unusual environments, creatures, and mysteries.
The Illagers are once again central to the story, this time led by a new council that threatens both the Overworld and the new dimension.
More Gear and Build Options
Minecraft Dungeons II expands the equipment system with weapons, armor, enchantments, talismans, and artifacts.
The goal is still easy to understand: collect loot, combine abilities, and build a playstyle that can survive increasingly dangerous encounters.
Players who enjoyed experimenting with combinations in the first game should have more options here.
Solo or Four-Player Co-op
The game supports solo play and up to four players through online or couch co-op.
Nintendo also references mixed co-op configurations, although exact requirements depend on the systems and accessories being used.
Nintendo Switch Online is required for online multiplayer on Nintendo platforms.
Switch 2 Support
The game is available directly on Switch 2 as well as the original Switch.
That gives Nintendo players a native current-generation option instead of relying only on backward compatibility.
The precise performance differences depend on platform and mode, but Switch 2 is the more capable version of the two.
It Is Already Available Elsewhere Too
Minecraft Dungeons II launched more broadly on September 29 across Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo's October 7 post is a fresh reminder that the game is now fully available across its current console lineup.

The Bottom Line
Minecraft Dungeons II is out now on Switch and Switch 2, with solo play and up to four-player co-op.
The Sift, new enemies, expanded loot, and a stronger build system make it a substantial sequel rather than a small content refresh.
If you enjoyed the first game's accessible dungeon-crawling loop, the sequel is now ready across all major platforms.
