Hellraiser Revival Launches October 8

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival launches on October 8, bringing the horror franchise into a single player first person action horror survival format.

Saber's official FAQ says the game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam.

What kind of game is it

According to Saber, Hellraiser Revival is a single player first person action horror survival game.

The core hook is the Genesis Configuration, a puzzle box that gives the main character access to special abilities while tying the story directly to the wider Hellraiser mythology.

The FAQ says players can expect an assortment of gruesome melee weapons, ranged weapons and special abilities that rely on the box.

A shorter horror experience

Saber says a playthrough is expected to take around 8 to 12 hours.

That places the game in a focused horror lane rather than the kind of bloated open world format that can dilute tension. For a narrative driven horror title, that run time can be a strength if the pacing and atmosphere hold up.

Why the launch matters

Hellraiser has had a long presence in horror, but game adaptations are far less common than film entries.

That makes Revival notable even before release. It is not just another licensed tie in. It is a full standalone game built around a fresh story, first person survival horror systems and the franchise's particular mix of body horror, ritual imagery and supernatural threat.

The clean takeaway

If you want a shorter horror release this week, Hellraiser Revival stands out.

It launches October 8, runs around 8 to 12 hours according to Saber, and leans into first person survival horror with weapons, puzzle box powers and a canonical connection to the Hellraiser universe.
