Among Us is getting a different kind of mystery. Innersloth confirmed on October 8, 2026 that Among Us Story: On Guard will launch on February 17, 2027. The standalone narrative adventure is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Android and iOS. More immediately, the developer has made a PC demo available during LudoNarraCon from October 8 through October 15.

This is not a new multiplayer map or a replacement for the original social-deduction game. On Guard takes the franchise's suspicion and emergency-meeting humor into a single-player story in which the player investigates crimes rather than waiting for a lobby to vote.

What is On Guard about?

In the official announcement, Innersloth says players enter a MIRA Research & Development training simulator. Their assignment is to play Guard, responsible for shipwide security. The job becomes complicated when a murder occurs and the Guard must find the Impostor while clearing their own name.

The Steam listing describes a story-driven investigation with tasks, clues, conversations and branching decisions. It lists three endings, which gives players a reason to revisit the mystery and test different conclusions. Those endings are confirmed; the developer has not announced a specific total playtime.

The cast includes the Guard, a cook, scientist, engineer, doctor and captain. Their jobs and personalities feed the game's detective-comedy tone. The mystery is built around learning who can be trusted rather than using the real-time sabotage and voting mechanics of the original Among Us.

How to play the demo before October 15

The free PC demo is listed on the official Steam page. Innersloth says the promotional demo window runs from October 8 to October 15, 2026. The company has not supplied a Philippine-local end time, so interested players should try it before the final day rather than assume it will remain accessible until midnight in Manila.

Open the Steam listing and look for the demo download option. It is separate from purchasing or preordering the full game. A demo can also change before launch, so its content should not be treated as a complete representation of every final-game chapter.

PC requirements and platforms

The current minimum Windows requirements are Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i3-4330, 4 GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4600 and 2 GB of storage. The listing also includes a macOS version. These are publisher-provided minimums; they do not guarantee identical performance on every older laptop.

Innersloth lists both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, as well as Android, iOS and PC, for the February 17 release. That broad platform list is particularly relevant in the Philippines, where mobile is a major way to play Among Us. However, there is no announced Philippine mobile-store price or confirmed region-specific launch time.

What makes this a worthwhile spin-off?

The interesting change is format. The original Among Us creates stories through other players' behavior; On Guard writes an investigation into the game itself. That may appeal to fans who like the setting and characters but prefer playing alone or solving a mystery at their own pace.

With a concrete launch date and a demo available right now, players have something practical to do beyond watching a trailer. Just keep the two dates separate: the demo ends October 15, 2026, while the full game is scheduled for February 17, 2027.
